Getting Organized!

Hey everybody,

Okay, so now that I have a little more time on my hands while I’m looking for new employment, I decided to also get myself a little more organized. I’ve started organizing my storage a bit so I can get to things a little easier and know what I have in storage.

I’m not a messy kinda girl so I like for things to have their own space or for there to be a place for everything. Not that I’m a neat freak either! I just like things to have some order to them and be able to get to the things I have.

So, I’ve been just spent the majority of the day shifting and moving things around. Grouping like items and going through and pitching out a good bit as well. I’ve still got a little more to go through tomorrow but I’m looking forward to finally get things straight and getting this task off my list.

So here’s to getting organized and having a little more of your life in the proper order!

The search continues!

Hey everybody! Well the search for new employment seems to be going well. I’ve got a few resumes out there and looking forward to hearing back from a few of them. Some of the others are just jobs to earn some cash so if I don’t hear from them, I won’t be loosing any sleep!

Also, it’s been a very long time since I’ve had to go to unemployment and WOW, what a process! Things seem to be a lot stricter than I remember, but as I said, it has been a long time since I’ve had to go through this process.

One thing that I’ve realized with the bit of time I’ve had to ponder over things is that I could try and start something on my own! Going into business for myself I mean! I have all the necessary things I would need to start building websites on my own. I have enough contacts with others that are in the industry to contract out some work if need be. I’ve been doing the job for another company for years now so why not! I’m still messing around with the idea and seeing what all I’d have to do to get something started but it’s worth a shot if I don’t hearing anything back from anybody … right?! If you have any experience is something like this, please let me know. I can use all the info I can get!

I was playing around with the thought for some time of creating a company that is made of nothing but members of the transgender community. I know there are enough of us that are very skilled in a vast number of job skills so why couldn’t that happen? It would safe to dress and be yourself. And just think how friendly and wonderful the work environment would be … especially for the holiday parties! Ah yes, I could just see it know! But that would probably be a good ways off from now, but still a good thought to hang onto! :)

Getting started in 2009

So it seems that my life is a series of starting again. After not having the time to pay much attention to my own website due to working very long hours and trying to keep my life is some sort of order, I'm starting over once again for 2009!

I ended up going back to work yesterday morning, after taking some days off for the holidays, and found myself out of a job within an hour of being there. Happy New Year!!! Not to worry too much cause I believe strongly in that all things happen for a reason. I also believe that when one door closes another one opens somewhere else. I’m just now looking for that door that is supposed to have opened somewhere else!

Also, I figured, since I now had some time to myself and do some much needed mending of my own I would get a little more active on the site again. Trying to always be the hip, Web Mistress that I would like to think that I am, I’ve added this new blog instead of “My Diary”. I figured this way it would be much easier to read, organize, and see the feedback that one of my entries could get.
